BEHIND THE FOOD

We are Brandon and Arielle Hawthorne, the Milwaukee couple behind Twisted Plants. In 2016, Arielle was diagnosed with lymphoma and began to research the effect of foods on health. From there, she adopted a vegetarian diet before going fully vegan.

We wanted to spread our love of vegan comfort food to others and Twisted Plants was born. In the Spring of 2019, we launched the vegan/plant-based comfort food trailer, visiting various locations and events in the Milwaukee area. In the Spring of 2020, we were delighted to move into our permanent brick-and-mortar location in Cudahy. Come get twisted with us.
